We tried dolphin kottu and chicken fried rice. Both of them were really good and flavourful. They made it to match Sri Lankan recipes. Kottu wasn’t dry and came with gravy on the side. Even the fried rice was on point with lot of flavor. The food was made on the spot since we could hear the “kottu” sounds. We went on Sunday so lot of deserts and rolls were sold out, but go on another day. And portions were pretty affordable around 12-15 each!!
Really good food, friendly staff, place is clean with a calm vibe. Could benefit from air conditioning. Husband and I both had chicken kottu which was different from anything I've ever had before - kinda like stuffing made with paratha, but flavors of curry, and egg mixed in like how it is with fried rice. Very filling and flavorful. I had carrot halva for dessert which was a bit warm for a hot July day but I didn't really care since it was so delicious. Definitely will be back! Update: went back today and got the paper dosa and mango lassi. So good! Still a very cozy and friendly vibe here. But they need to get rid of that automated welcome message when you open the door
The best South Indian food I’ve ever had. We ordered a Mysore Masala Dosa and Kottu Chicken. For drinks we did Madras Filter Coffee. The food was exceptionally delicious and served beautifully on a large leaf. The service was very good and friendly staff. Will definitely be coming back.
This is a hidden gem in Niagara Falls, Buffalo area if you are every looking to taste some spicy south asian food. This is a Sri Lankan shop serving authentic chicken koththu with a touch of their own magic! Loved the snacks, specially the Sri Lankan special fish rolls! they have good parking spots and awesome professional service! Please do try this place if you are in the region!
I recently visited Colombo Spice with my parents during our trip to Niagara Falls, and it felt like a home away from home. The chicken kottu, fish curry, dosa, passion fruit and Nelly juice were absolutely delicious—comforting and full of authentic flavors. The food tasted like a home-cooked meal, and the staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. A must-visit for anyone craving genuine and satisfying food!
The food is amazing!!! I had CHICKEN KOTTU with medium spicy. As an Asian, it is a real good spicy. Since we are the first customers, we also had two free rice pudding, sweet and chewy:) They are so welcoming, for sure will come back. The SADA DOSA taste a bit sour. I personally don’t like it, but my husband love it.
I love this place! For someone who takes Srilankan food seriously and can taste the authenticity I would rate more than 5 stars to this place. The food is delicious, spicy for people like me who crave for that and never find it anywhere, and special mention to there chicken/fish rolls which require a special talent. Not everyone or everyplace can make that perfect,crispy,spicy ones and Colombo Spices have nailed it. Wishing them all the best and hope they receive the support to grow much bigger in there business in the future ! May lumpeice should be there next launch
